Dr Anne Malatt has been practising as a doctor for over 35 years, as an eye surgeon for over 25 years. She also offers laser tattoo removal and skin treatments with a Medlite C6 laser, one of the industry’s best for tattoo removal.

The laser light energy is shone onto the skin and absorbed by the pigment in the tattoo. This light rapidly heats and breaks up the pigment-containing granules in the skin cells. The pigment is then freed up to be absorbed by the body’s white cells and lymphatic system over the next few weeks. 

Several treatments are required, spaced at least eight weeks apart, but the after-effects are minimal and the end result is great, fading the tattoo without causing scarring.

The laser can also treat some scars, including surgical scars, acne scars, fine wrinkles, and skin pigmentation (freckles and brown spots from sun damage and age).
